200 Body Builders To Flex Muscles At Mr Malaysia Tourney

KOTA KINABALU, April 13 (Bernama) -- Some 200 body builders from all over the country will flex their muscles at the Mr Malaysia 2007 body-building tournament to be held here on July 27 and 28.The event, to be staged at the Hongkod Koisaan building, is jointly organised by the Sabah Amateur Body Building Association (SBBA) and Kota Kinabalu City Hall.Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman is expected to officiate the event.SBBA President Anthony Basil Leong said this was the fourth time around that Sabah were hosting the national body building tournament since 1984.According to him, more than 270 participants and officials would start arriving in the city beginning July 25.Kota Kinabalu Mayor Datuk Iliyas Ibrahim, who chaired the organising committee meeting at City Hall here today, commended SBBA for successfully bidding to host the national event in Sabah.He said the event would promote not only the sport to the people in Sabah but also national integration and domestic tourism, especially with Visit Malaysia Year this year.He invited all body-building enthusiasts to come and watch the tournament, saying that there would also be a guest performance by National Sportsman of the Year 2006 and Mr Universe 2006, Sazali Samad.-- BERNAMA
